Riveting Teaser Scene for Impuratus is Already Stunning Film Audiences

By: Debra Wallace

Jody Quigley truly embodies the suspenseful characters that he portrays, and as a result, his latest horror movie, Impuratus, is no exception. In fact, he spent hours in a make-up chair where an expert make-up artist worked to turn him into a 90-year old man.

The 38-year-old actor, best known for the suspense thriller, Apparition, portrays two stages in the life of Daniel Glassman in Impuratus; a young Civil War soldier, and a much older version of the man on his deathbed grappling with demons.

The stunning Teaser/Promo/Scene for Impuratus — an actual scene from the movie — complete with haunting music and special effects, has already won more than 20 festival awards around the world.

Now, the producers are seeking to attain the funding needed for a green light on the production. With expert writing, a talented cast, high production values, and many twists and turns, Impuratus clearly leaves us wanting more…

‘Betrayed’ Review

Stars: John Savage, Richard Tyson, Billy Wirth, T.J. Storm, Harley Wallen, Kaiti Wallen, Yan Birch, Blanca Blanco, Aphrodite Nikolovski, Sean Rey, Damien Chinappi | Written and Directed by Harley Wallen

Independent filmmaker Harley Wallen, whose film Bennett’s Song was something of a surprisingly sweet old-shool family film, is back both in front of and behind the camera for Betrayed – a film that rips its story straight from the headlines to create a thriller that deals with Russian involvement in Us politics, missing persons and sex traffiking.

The plot goes something like this: in an effort to control the city the Mayor of Detroit opens the doors to the Russian Mob (bad idea). It’s not long until he realizes they aren’t going to follow his rules, instead kidnapping women and traffiking them for sex. To fix the problem the Mayor (John Savage) accepts an offer to set up the

Giveaway – Win Salvador on Dual Format

Eureka Entertainment to release Salvador, a powerful, vivid and uninhibited political drama from Oliver Stone, making its UK debut on Blu-ray as part of The Masters of Cinema Series in a special Dual Format (Blu-ray & DVD) edition on 17 September 2018, and we have three copies to give away!

A harrowing drama set during the Salvadoran Civil War, Salvador is a one of director Oliver Stone’s most underrated films, a thrilling and violent look at the chaos of war as seen through the lens of an amoral photojournalist.

In 1980, young men, women and children are being brutally killed in a bloody civil war in El Salvador. A horrific setting, but a perfect one for Richard Boyle (James Woods in an Oscar nominated role), a sleazy journalist whose career needs a jump start. Armed with his camera, Boyle joins the front lines in an attempt to capture atrocious-but-valuable images of pain and horror.

Feature: Michael Cimino: Cinematic Maverick

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the epic masterpiece The Deer Hunter out now on stunningly restored 4k restoration Blu-ray release, we take a look back at the work of the enigmatic director behind the film: Michael Cimino.

Magnum Force

You know you have major talent at your disposal when despite only having one previous credit to your name, you are hired to write the screenplay for the Dirty Harry sequel. Not to say that Cimino had complete creative control over said screenplay; the initial idea of vigilantes killing wealthy criminals who’d evaded justice came from a draft script for Dirty Harry, written by Terrence Malick. Don Siegel was not a fan of the concept, but Clint Eastwood was so impressed by the idea that it formed the basis of Magnum Force. By adding in some expert action sequences (particularly car chases), Cimino added some excitement to a very simple script,

New Trailer for 40th Anniversary Restoration of Michael Cimino’s ‘The Deer Hunter’

Even before he passed away two years ago, Michael Cimino’s overlooked films, from Heaven’s Gate to Year of the Dragon to Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, were already getting deserved re-appraisals, but there’s one towering classic in his filmography that has endured since its release forty years ago: his Vietnam War epic The Deer Hunter.

While it will officially turn 40 at the end of the year, StudioCanal and Park Circus have gotten the jump on a 4K restoration, which they’ll debut in U.K. theaters, fittingly, on the fourth of July, followed by a Blu-ray release in August. Starring a pair of Trump favorites, Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep, as well as Christopher Walken and the late, great, John Cazale, Cimino’s emotional epic depicts a patient unfolding of friendship and chaos. The trailer, as one might expect, sells it more as Rambo-style action thriller, but that

Meet the Actress Who Completely Ignored the Time's Up Movement at the Golden Globes
The women of Hollywood came together in a big and beautiful way on Sunday night when they all wore black in solidarity with the Time's Up movement about ending sexual harassment and gender inequality. Despite all wearing the same color, actresses like Meryl Streep, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Jessica Biel still stood out due to their powerful quotes about supporting women. One actress, however, stood out for the worst reason. Blanca Blanco, who has appeared in movies you've probably never heard of like Showgirls 2: Penny's From Heaven, Beverly Hill Christmas, and Bermuda Tentacles, is a 36-year-old actress from California. Blanca walked the show's red carpet with her longtime boyfriend, 68-year-old Dark Angel actor John Savage. While it's unclear exactly why she was in attendance, this isn't her first controversial award show moment. In 2017, Blanca, who is known for her somewhat attention-seeking behavior, had an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction on the

Turning 40: 3 Great Movies Released in 1978

We live in an age of revivals, reboots, and remakes. Hollywood seems to have lost the taste for original stories, preferring to reach back to the successful movies of the past, hoping to be able to play it safe and pocket a hefty profit in the process. Sometimes, it works – the remake of Stephen King’s “It” has proven this – and other times, it doesn’t – just think of the dismal reviews (and pretty lousy revenues) of this year’s “The Mummy”, which might have been a profitable movie per se, with its $400 million-plus debut against a $375 million budget, buy a disappointing debut for Universal’s “Dark Universe”.

Next year, many of the most famous and well-known movie franchises of our times will celebrate their thirtieth anniversaries. Some of these will be marked by remakes hitting the screens, either in the cinemas or through other mediums, such as video games,
