Trivia

A young German tourist wearing a bright crimson jacket and wielding a disposable camera with no ticket, no badge, made it through four security checkpoints and was two feet from getting onto the stage before he was grabbed by two undercover off duty police officers acting as security guards. The police officers had taken a break from their posts outside the Shrine and came up to stage left to view the action on stage for five minutes when this young kid who "looked like he shouldn't be there" showed up with a camera from his hand. Russell Carpenter - Winner: Best Cinematography: Thank you so much. We're running so late this is becoming sort of a "Depends" moment for me. Brilliant..

An award show that honors excellence in filmmaking in each of its separate categories. People are awarded Oscars in a humorous manner that provides an entertaining show. The 70th Annual Academy Awards definitely packed some terrific wins for sure from Titanic to As Good As It Gets to even Good Will Hunting and L.A Confidential. I mean Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger, Hellen Hunt and the great and late Robin Williams deserved their wins and the same goes for 'My Heart Will Go On' from Celine Dion to Men in Black winning for Special Effects.
